Hypnotherapy isn’t like what you see in the movies – a person swinging a pocket watch in front of your face telling you you’re feeling sleepy. In actuality, hypnotherapy is a combination of techniques, including guided imagery and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a form of Meridian Tapping.

Hypnotherapy actually allows you to be more in control than you are today by creating a space for you to relax and focus.

How Do I know If Hypnotherapy is Right For Me?

You’re Motivated to Make a Change –

An important aspect of the success of hypnotherapy is a client’s motivation for positive change.

If you are motivated and willing to work towards your goal with the guidance of your hypnotherapist, then hypnotherapy has every chance of working for you.

Hypnosis is not appropriate for a person who has psychotic symptoms, such as hallucinations and delusions, or for someone who is actively abusing drugs or alcohol. If a person is “clean” and working a program, then hypnosis can be very effective.

Hypnosis should be used for pain control only after a doctor has performed a thorough evaluation for any physical disorder that might require medical or surgical treatment.

You’re Open to Hypnotherapy –

It’s important that you are fully open to experiencing hypnotherapy in order for it to work. You must be willing to accept that your system does in fact have the power to heal itself in order for it to do so.

You’re Not Expecting Overnight Miracles –

While hypnotherapy often works quickly compared to other types of complimentary or alternative forms of therapy, it is not a magic wand and you should not expect to see overnight results.

You’re Willing to Work Beyond Our Sessions –

The goal of hypnotherapy is to provided you with the tools and techniques necessary to maintain relaxation in between sessions and beyond.

Each session will be an opportunity to learn, implement, and strengthen. You’ll not only have my full, undivided attention, but I’ll provide you with the tools and resources you need to ensure you continue toward your life of joy, in between calls and beyond.

Lucy’s skills as a coach are impeccable. She has an uncanny way of offering a different perspective just by asking probing questions. The coaching sessions are client-centered and her knowledge and wisdom on a variety of subjects/topics leaves one feeling liberated and empowered at the end of the session. She frequently assigns homework to be completed prior to the next session that serves to enhance learning and inhibit procrastination. She is truly a gem and I highly recommend her.
